quelle a été l'histoire de la guerre en ex-yougoslavie, qu'est-ce que la poudrière des balkans? ( si vous avez des références de livres ou d'articles très synthétiques sur le sujet) et quelle est la situation aujourd'hui dans cette partie du monde?

Par son actualité tragique, le territoire des Balkans semble toujours mériter son nom de «poudrière balkanique». Ce qualificatif est donné à la région à la fin du XIXe siècle, car elle offre un terrain privilégié aux conflits nationaux auxquels s’ajoutent les intérêts des grandes puissances. Ainsi que le démontre cette chronologie.
Au fil des siècles, une mosaïque de peuples s’y sont mélangés ou opposés- Grecs, Serbes, Bulgares, Albanais, Valaques, Juifs, Turcs. Longtemps englobés dans l’Empire ottoman, les peuples balkaniques gardèrent pour la plupart leur religion et leur culture. Aucours du 19e siècle, ils affirmèrent leur spécificité linguistique, historique et religieuse. Certains rêvèrent de Grande- Serbie, d’autres de Grande Bulgarie, de Grande-Grèce, de Grande-Albanie, de Grande Roumanie. Or chacune de ces constructions, réelles ou virtuelles, réunissait des populations dites minoritaires, qui, au 20e siècle, réclamèrent des droits culturels et politiques. En 1920, les recensements de Yougoslavie indiquaient 19 groupes pour la Yougoslavie, 11 pour la Roumanie montrant clairement l’impossibilité de l’Etat-nation…. La Seconde Guerre mondiale aboutit à un morcellement extrême avant que Moscou ne reconstitue un empire pendant près d’un demi-siècle, sauf en Grèce. Mais depuis 1989 le mouvement inverse se produit, scandé par des guerres qui réactivent la mémoire des haines accumulées… Georges Castellan, professeur à l’université de Paris III (1991), a enseigné l’histoire des Balkans à l’Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales.
